As a responsible driver, you should have certain things in your car, no matter who you are. These are things that will keep you safe and moving. Additionally, you shouldn’t have much else in your car. By taking out that set of golf clubs and all the other junk, you can increase your fuel economy and make your car safer.
I spent the other week in San Francisco seeing friends. To be more flexible with my time there, I drove down from Seattle, which took about 12 hours. With that much time on the road, I was reminded of all the things drivers do that I hate. While the full list could go on for pages, the top three have been distilled for your reading pleasure.
Nashville is a city built for cars. It has expansive, wide roads with the city at the intersection of two main interstates that get flooded with cars every single day. If you don’t have a car in Nashville, you can hardly get anywhere — or so I thought. Coming back from London, I’m spending the month of June in Nashville without a car. Here are my thoughts on the first week.
The 80th annual Geneva Motor Show began earlier last week with every major automotive manufacturer featuring more efficient and sustainable cars. While “green” has been a growing theme at previous car shows, this year it is becoming more than just a PR stunt. It is becoming a holistic attitude to transform entire fleets from apathetically inefficient polluters to more mindful and lighter damagers of the environment.
As per tradition, much of the entertainment value of the Superbowl comes not from the field, but during the commercials. And just as post-game coverage picks apart every down, so must marketers, advertisers, and enthusiasts must discuss and vote on every ad shown. While it may not have made anyone’s top 10 list, Audi’s “Green Police” ad was cleverly done and builds on Audi’s up and coming reputation for quality Superbowl Ads.
Being in London just 2 weeks, I’ve noticed some interesting differences between the roads in the US and the UK. While I’m sure these aren’t all of them, these 5 are the most prominent in my mind. Feel free to comment if you’ve got some more as this is by no means a complete list.
